Greetings. As the title says, has anyone experimented with blow off valves for the 33s? If so, did you notice any malfunction with the maf? Some guy told me I might have problems at idle etc. What's your thoughts?

Hey I do not think that it will fit. Because the other upgrade coolers are the same size in width but the piping goes back and not to the side. At the point where the piping comes out there is the mounting of the OEM cooler. Diameter of the piping is also different size. So you need custom made silicone hoses and you need to weld on mounting brackets to the cooler.
I would give you the advice to look for an aftermarket cooler from Forge, HKS or CTC. Whatever you can get cheapest.
Going for an aftermarket is not a choice for me unfortunately. At the price of an aftermarket I can get a custom one with all inox pipings (not silicone hoses) fitted on my car, so it 's a no for me. I was wondering if I could weld a curb to each side in order to fit. Saw someone on FB who installed a 450x300x76 and it worked, but don't know if 550 is going to work. Yesterday we tried out my resonator delete with its pipercross filter.
The first 5 km a bit jerky when starting. After 20 KM the full throttle for the first time and because of that also very jerky when accelerating.
After 40 KM absolutely no problems and great draft. Diverter valve is now a little better to hear, he says, I can also confirm. Clearly not as great a suction sound as with the MST intake but at least.
He is absolutely thrilled and now wants to delete a resonator (again) : S

A friend of mine gave it to me. I will post a pic tomorrow. In terms of boost pressure i wouldn't say much as i didn 't have time to measure it via obd. Hopefully i can do it tomorrow
Hey, it is clearly not the sound of the air swirling in the pipe. Because if you squeeze the thin gray hose (which goes over a switch into the vacuum pump) together like the guy on YouTube with the MST intake did, the sound stops at once.
Believe me it is the sound of the vacuum pump and no big deal
I would not put a mesh in the intake, because in the worst case it gets sucked in by the turbocharger.
Yeap, totally agree with you. It 's the vacuum pump, it has a tiny piston in it that makes all this noise. I somehow managed to minimize the sound a bit by putting a plastic connector to the vac hose that makes its inner diameter a tiny bit smaller. The noise is still there, but not so annoying: P
Hey greetings from Germany. I wondered about that noise too. That is the sound of the vacuum pump. It comes from the thin gray hose. You can only hear it at idle and only if you stand near at outside.
It is not a problem.
The pipes are much more straight and so you can hear all noises louder.
I was talking to a couple of friends about that and they told me that it is the sound of the swirling air getting into the intake. They also suggested me to put something like a window net (I dont know the exact word for that in english: P) so that it stops the swirl in the intake. I'll problably test it today and come back with the results. I know it is no big deal but the sound gets me a little bit frustrated: P
