increased revs in GTI

    Hi all, sorry this question is written in English, but I guess Niederländisch would be worse ;)

    I drive a 1997 Baleno GTI. When the engine gets warmer (mind you, not hot!), for instance when driving through the city or in a traffic jam, my revs increase from 750 to 3000. This is annoying and dangerous! Does anybody have any idea where this problem comes from?

    Yep! I know it is not common in Germany (had it fixed in Ulm once - they all started to cheer), but in the Netherlands they were sold during 1997 and 1998. It is brutal!

    Unfortunately, I have already brought it to the Suzuki dealer, but they couldn\'t replicate the problem. Resetting the computer didn\'t do the trick. They really haven\'t got a clue.

    Btw it has been painted recently after a hailstorm. It looks brand new!

    ja! ich weiss es ist nicht üblich in deutschland. (hatte es einst in ulm reparieren lassen - alle fingen an zu jubeln), aber in holland wurden sie zwischen 1997 und 1998 verkauft. es ist brutal!

    unglücklicherweise, hatte ich es schon zum suzuki händler gebracht, aber sie konnten das problem nicht nochmal hervorrufen. das resetten der ecu hat auch nichts gebracht. die haben wirklich keine ahnung.

    übrigens wurde es nach einem hagelsturm neu lackiert. es sieht brandneu aus!
